HOW TO RENOVATE ALUMINIUM?
First of all, before any renovation, it is very important to know what is the type of aluminum that you go to treat. Indeed, the aluminum can be anodized or rough (i.e untreated).
For anodized aluminium
Anodization makes it possible to resist the metal part treated with corrosion and to give it brightness. It is case of the masts of sailing ships. Also, by using a powerful cleaner, you are likely to eliminate partially or completely the anodic film which covers aluminium. This is why, our researchers developed non aggressive cleaner, which respects the anodic film : KLINALU.
It makes it possible to eliminate the deposits accumulated on the anodized aluminium which by chemical attack deteriorate anodized protective film giving place to the appearance of holes on the surface, micro-cracks or a film of powdery white oxydes.
KLINALU neutralizes the greasy, carbonaceous or saline deposits. Its porosity of origin returns and it gives again a shinning aspect on the anodic aluminium surface. According to the degree of stain, you will use KLINALU either pure or diluted at a rate of one volume of product for 3 to 5 volumes of water. To avoid the traces of run-outs, previously think to wet the surface to betrated. Do not rinse with
salted water.

For rough aluminium
The rough aluminium, not being treated and thus oxidizing more easily, we advise you to use renovating ultra powerful, DEXAL, which ensures a protection avoiding the later deterioration of aluminium.
DEXAL contains ammonium bifluoride. It removes sulphuric and chromic anodic protections and protects from the formation of oxide.
DEXAL disintegrates grease, dirty oils and run-outs of rust.
DEXAL can be used in 2 ways:
DEXAL can be used in 2 ways:
- In spray: dilute one volume for 3 to 5 volumes of water. Spray the places which you want to treat (down to the top). Slightly brush then rinse. In this case, to avoid the run-outs, it is preferable to wet the surface before treating it with DEXAL.
- In soak: if you can dismantle the parts. Then, dilute one volume of product for one volume of water and soak for 30 seconds, drain for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse.
It is imperative not to rinse with salted water.
Always spray a cleaner or a degreaser of down at the top on the support in order to avoid the stains of cleanliness. Furthermore, beforehand always wet the surface to be treated.
DEXAL Concentrated brightener for rough aluminium
- Removes stains and other heavy duty dirt. Removes aluminium oxide and deposits of smoke.
- Protects against oxidation.
- Contains ammonium bifluoride.
